If you haven’t yet caught any of the videos on Gary Contessa Television on YouTube–you don’t know what you’re missing.
Gary has a passion for education: he loves horses, he loves horse racing. And he rightly states that the only REAL way to grow the sport of horse racing is to teach the public about the equine athletes and the sport.
No one can fall in love with an animal or sport that’s too complicated to understand. But you know, in your own experience, that once you learn something new about something–you get interested. Then, that interest may grow into love, then obsession. (I write this from the place of my own obsession with horses and racing, so I write from experience.)
You race fans probably know a boatload about horse racing–but, well, maybe not EVERYthing. You may be curious about Conformation–or tack–or training methods–or horse sales. You know a lot, but you want more knowledge.
And no doubt you have friends and relatives who’d become as obsessed with horse racing if only they felt comfortable because they were familiar with terms and the minutiae that we hard-cores take for granted.
Gary Contessa Television launched on July 19th, and is growing day-by-day. There are 11 videos on the ‘site at this moment, with more being created and processed every day. It pays to check in every day, to see what’s new.
